Animals use deception and trickery in order to survive and to protect their young. Driven by evolution, deception occurs in many forms – ranging from simple background-matching type of visual camouflage to more complex behaviors. Senses other than the visual can be fooled and often more than one type of deception is in use. A particular deception may even change in real time based on the particular environment. In this program, some interesting and unusual forms of deceptive behavior are highlighted.
