Join us for some serious trash talk as we tour the Robert C. Shinn, Jr. Recycling Center in Westhampton. This is the hub of the Burlington County Recycling Program dispatching vehicles to collect from single family homes, multifamily complexes, public schools and municipal drop-off sites, processing materials and then shipping to a variety of markets. Last year the Program recycled over 45,000 tons and saved municipalities $3.3 million in landfill disposal fees. This is a working industrial operation and touring will involve several staircases and heights so this may not be advisable for those with mobility difficulties or sensitivities to dust and loud noise. Please only sign up if you are seriously interested as we need to anticipate group size.
